Within the township, the population was spread out, with 28.4% of residents who were under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 years of age or older. Of all of the households documented, 18.0% were made up of individuals, and 7.0% had someone living alone who was sixty-five years of age or older. There were 511 households, out of which 37.2% had children under the age of eighteen living with them 64.0% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.5% were non-families. The racial makeup of the township was 98.8% White, 0.1% African American, 0.6% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 0.2% from two or more races. There were 560 housing units at an average density of 22.4/sq mi (8.6/km 2). The population density was 56.7 inhabitants per square mile (21.9/km 2).
